Annotation: A Collection of References.
The term "annotation" is defined in the dictionary as a critical or explanatory note or commentary. This project aims to develop an annotation book tailored for designers and visual communicators, centered around a specific theme or guiding principle, such as typographic behavior in various settings. This book explores typography across different mediums—print, digital, and motion—featuring works from a range of artists and designers like Reza Abedini and Stephan Sagmeister, as well as design schools and literary sources. It serves as a case study for subsequent projects. The book is designed with an accordion fold, where each page offers a summary and includes a detachable card. This card displays the artwork on one side and its reference on the other, reminiscent of traditional library cards. Although originally an undergraduate project, this endeavor remains pertinent to my current work, emphasizing the continued importance of references and research.
